CREATION//COUNTER-CREATIOM

9:52

I’ve been thinking a lot about the idea of a nonsite. Of an early material extracted from its place of rest and placed in another. The extractions as description and chaos. The placing of the object as discretions. The destruction of its new found place hood and destruction of where it should have been. Should one thing ever truly be anywhere other than where it was from?

Maybe that idea is rather stagnant ...maybe I don't know. But I've been feeling a bit like a nonsite these days,,,perhaps all diasporic people feel this way,,,perhaps all people of color in a white institution feel this way,,,perhaps all people are in a constant state of upheaval and resituating,,,perhaps we only see solidarity in those we see ourselves in,,,i would like to see

myself in everyone,,,

I believe the body is nature and I wonder why we have so disenfranchised ourselves

from it,,,from the very thing we are,,,

This piece will be a process of decolonizing both myself and the white cube

space,,,returning to nature and returning to myself browning myself in the process.
